In a world filled with noise, silence can be both a welcome relief and an uncomfortable, vacant space. The more we create and utilize silence to support learning, the more our students will appreciate its value and become comfortable in its presence.
The ability to focus is the gateway to learning, especially when learning is complex and challenging. We need to do all that we can to create conditions that support students to focus as they learn.
